Apartment La Foret
Best for: A family or group of friends looking for an uber-cool slopeside pad!
In 1973 a dusty old journal was found in a cellar in Lyon. Sixteen years of intricate analysis & dedicated investigation has now provided evidence that it was the first-ever guest book for Chalet la Foret. Undoubtedly the most noteworthy entry in said book is from the King of France (the pseudonym Roy France was used but it is indisputable that this is actually Roi de France). It is a fascinating insight into the downtime of a monarch; his Royal Highness dressed for the winter (striped jumper and beret), he listened to music (Johnny Halliday) & read (Moliere) and ate some food (mostly garlic, frog’s legs & snails).
Reading between the lines, we can ascertain that he chose Chalet la Foret because of its position at 1750m – 30 metres from Ronnies (le Rondpoint, a world-famous slopeside bar) and 40 metres from the Doron piste with a direct ski down to all the lifts that depart from the centre of Méribel. It is a location fit for a king. Or Roy France.
Chalet la Foret has been recently refurbished throughout to a very high standard by its owner, a chic Parisian woman, and was awarded with the Label Méribel which ensures the highest standards. The chalet has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
