Our Staff

The Team @ The Chalet Co

We devote more time, resources & (nervous) energy to recruiting, training and managing our staff than we commit to any other task! It is the location, images and price of the chalet that will encourage you to stay with The Chalet Company for the first time but it is the people that will make you return…hopefully year after year! This fact is not lost on us. We know what we want in a team member – we are looking for people with intelligence and diligence, as well as the requisite skills to do the job for which they were employed. We are looking for people who are ready and prepared to go above & beyond for reasons of personal pride rather than the prospect of a good tip! We are looking for people with life experience and work experience so they can interact with (although not impose upon) our guests as well as wow-ing you with their cooking!

    Steve Purdie

    General Manager

“I worked as a management consultant (for Accenture), studied for an MBA (at University of Cambridge) and worked as a strategy consultant (for AT Kearney) before joining my brother in the snowsports’ industry in 2009. My role is to ensure that every aspect of your holiday runs as smoothly as possible from when you book until the sad moment you check-out from your chalet after, hopefully, the most incredible ski holiday!”

    Sales & Marketing

“I have been working in the snowsports’ industry since 2001. I have worked for various Ski Schools (as a ski instructor), for the Ski Club of Great Britain (in the Information Dept) and I also founded SnowSkool (ski & snowboard instructor training) in 2003. Méribel was the first place I ever skied outside of the UK way back in 1982 and although I have now skied in resorts in eleven other countries, I keep coming back to Méribel! I will be your first point of contact and will provide detail on all our chalets and our services in order to help you make the right choice.”

    Client Happiness Manager

"Hi, my name is Anneliese and I am Operations and Customer Service Manager for The Chalet Company. I gave up life in the City of London when my kids came along 8 years ago and have been working for The Chalet Company for the last few years and love every minute of it!!! Based in the UK, I am here to help take the stress out of holiday planning. Once your chalet and flights are booked, I can assist with the organisation of all the ‘extras’ for your ski holiday before you depart.  I also like to think of myself as the ‘font of all knowledge’ on taking kids skiing"

    Chalet Hosts

Hi, we are Rob and Kay, the hosts in Chalet Evergreen returning for our second season with The Chalet Company. We may be more mature than most chalet hosts in age, but along with age comes years of cooking and skiing experience. We pride ourselves on being fonts of knowledge on where to find the best snow or Meribel's best bars for a nice apres ski beer. Our aim is to make your stay with us one you'll remember with a smile.

    Georgina

    Resort Manager

After too many years of the London commute I've decided to return to The Chalet Company for a second season, this time as Resort Manager. With my passion for food, skiing, snowboarding and live music there's nowhere I'd rather be than the mountains, and I hope to share that enthusiasm with both the team and Chalet Company guests. The main thing I'll miss about London is a proper cup of tea (oh and maybe some of my friends and family but I think they're quite happy about having an excuse to visit me!)

    Assistant Resort Manager

After gaining my Ski Instructor qualification in Banff, Canada through SnowSkool in 2013, I have spent several seasons being a ski instructor in several different countries. I am very excited about taking on a new challenge in the French Alps to support our clients with their needs and help them have the best skiing experience possible.

"Hi, I'm Sophie and can't wait to get out for my first ski season in Méribel.  I'm a neat freak and ballet obsessive and am always up for an adventure. I've always been a keen cook and can't wait to make lots of tasty meals for our guests!"

    Chalet Host

"Hi my name is Oria. I am super excited about looking after Chalet Phoenix on my 3rd ski season!  I'm a bit of a contradiction in that 2 of my favourite things are skiing and scuba diving, snow and sun, as well as being mad about food. I might not be the most adventurous skier (off piste is hard!) but for all the tumbles I take, I get straight back up again, and any confidence I may lack there, I make up for in the kitchen! Looking forward to bringing you all delicious food and a lot of fun during your stay with The Chalet Company."

    Belle

    Chalet Host

"Hi I’m Belle, and I can’t wait to return to Méribel for my second season with The Chalet Company! I’m great at embarrassing myself on the mountain, don’t play it cool on powder days and am terrified of sharks. My cooking experiences range from baking at home with my family to earning the prestigious ‘house Mum’ title at my University home and, of course, hosting in Chalet Phoenix last season. I’m super excited to meet you and make your stay as enjoyable and yummy as possible!"
