Steve & Phil Purdie, the two founders of The Chalet Company, were brought up by a Scottish Mother whose attention to detail and insistence on punctuality, politeness and good home economics are legendary. We have always felt that the devil is in the detail; lighting the fire when the first guest arrives is too late, it should be roaring by that time! Knowing that not everyone wants a glass of champagne on arrival is important – sometimes nothing hits the spot like a nice cup of tea! And greeting every guest with a genuine smile is absolutely essential.

These early lessons run through everything we do and have become the basis of our philosophy; to offer our guests 4-star chalets run by  5-star people but brought to you at 3-star prices.
