What to pack for your chalet ski holiday?

Life is easier with a list, right? There is comfort in ticking it off as you pack for your holiday in a catered ski chalet. It reduces the risk of turning up to realise the helmets are on the spare bed!!

Take a deep breath, pull the suitcase out the loft and print off your TCC checklist of what you need to pack. (We’ve been offering (and packing for) catered ski chalet holidays in Meribel for over 10 years). Your brain-power work here is done!!

To create this list, we’ve dug deep into the memories of last season (it was tough). We’ve thought about how we prepared for our annual family ski trips.

Our list is broken down into three sections, which is much how we think of our suitcase. One third for ski gear, one third for après-ski/chalet lounging and one third for all the extras.

We find it is usually the comfy casuals we are short of. Don’t underestimate the pull to sit down by the fire in your trackies after a hard day on the slopes. The pull id strengthened with a home-baked cake and a cup of tea.

You’ll note we’ve added back protector on the ski equipment list. This is obviously a personal choice but, after hearing a few horror stories, we’ve decided it is on our list from now on. Much like a helmet, we suspect you will see them forming part of the standard gear in years to come. To date, we’ve only used them on the kids, but are on the lookout for quality adults’ ones at a decent price too!

HAPPY PACKING!
