Thinking about booking a catered chalet holiday in Méribel? Can’t say we blame you! Booking a holiday always comes with lots of questions and finding the answers isn’t always that easy! However, we’ve compiled a list of answers to FAQ’s about our chalets.
Do I have to book the whole chalet?
All of our catered chalets (unless stated) are on sold on an exclusive basis. If you like a particular chalet, but cannot fill it to full capacity, please do have a chat with our sales team via phil@thechaletcompany.co.uk who may be able to suggest other options.
Can we use the chalet kitchen on staff day off?
For insurance reasons, we ask guests not to use the kitchen on the staff day off for cooking. A kettle and toaster will be made available for you so you can enjoy breakfast and afternoon tea. We encourage guests to make the most of Méribel’s amazing restaurants and takeaways. Our chalet staff are more than happy to make recommendations based on whatever you fancy.
Is there a mid-week towel change?
We don’t offer a mid-week towel change in our chalets as standard, in order to reduce energy consumption and our impact on the environment. We can, however, replace very dirty towels or do a mid-week towel change at your request.
Do you have chalets with hot tubs?
Our chalets with hot tubs are some of the most envied chalets in Méribel! There is nothing like soothing your ski muscles in a mountain-side hot tub… all while your dinner is being prepared for you! You’ll find hot tubs at Chalet Impala, Chalet Evergreen and Chalet Bruyere.
Can you provide baby equipment in the chalet?
Highchairs and travel cots can be provided (but we ask you to bring your own cot bedding and sheets). Our resort team would also be happy to pre-purchase (on your behalf) nappies/wipes etc, if you want to keep packing to a minimum! Please contact our client services team: anneliese@thechaletcompany.co.uk for more information.
We’re happy to provide some other bits and bobs for the kids (and big kids) in our chalets:
- A selection of baby/toddler toys and books
- A selection of games
- DVD players and DVDs
- PS4 and game are available in Chalet Impala
- Wii and Wii games are available in Chalet Pied de Voute
- Table tennis is available in Chalet Pied de Voute
- Table football is available in Chalet Edelweiss
Can I bring my dog/cat/pet snake on my ski holiday?
We’re afraid pets are not allowed in our chalets.
Do the chalets have boot warmers?
Most of our chalets in Méribel do have boot warmers. If this is a specific requirement you are seeking, then please speak to our sales team (phil@thechaletcompany.co.uk) who will be able to point you towards the best chalet to book. Alternatively, look for the boot warmer icon on the chalet pages of our website.
Is there WIFI in the chalets?
All our chalets have WIFI.
How far are the chalets from central Méribel?
We have chalets located all over Méribel, so this depends on the chalet. Chalet Croquette, Chalet Eleanor and Chalet Evergreen are perfectly walkable into central Méribel. For all other chalets, the free shuttle bus stops are within an easy stroll’s reach. For skiing, we offer a private transfer service, to take you and all your kit to the slopes each morning.
